Much of this whining is couched in terms of politicizing the death of Michael Brown, but thats a hollow, lazy complaint made by people who dont quite feel comfortable saying that theyre fine with the status quo. And its also baffling to see people complain, in the midst of a near total civic breakdown, that there are activists encouraging people to get involved to fix the root causes of the chaos. Theyre evangelizing faith in the political system and encouraging people to act within established political norms. Im not sure how one can view that as disgusting and completely inappropriate.

(14,733 posts)More voters = fewer GOP elected. Especially more PoC voters. The lower the total number of voters, the more likely GOP folks win.
Which is why it's so incredibly important for potential Dem candidates to actually demonstrate to voters that they really are Dems, and not just 'slightly to the left' of Republicans. When voters have real Dems, who actually help people, they come out to vote. When they see Dems acting like Republicans on the military, the intelligence community, militarization of police forces, economic issues, they get discouraged.
Real Dems get real votes. Phony Dems only get the 'team blue' vote, which often isn't enough.

(16,402 posts)[font color="navy" face="Verdana"]This needs to go viral and Democratic GOTV efforts need to get in high gear now.
Because when Democrats vote, Democrats win -- and reTHUGs hate that.
Let's give them something to really howl about!
