Pope Francis Calls Foley Family To Offer Condolences

CNN/WCVB —Pope Francis called the parents of of slain U.S. journalist James Foley to offer his condolences on Thursday afternoon, according to a Vatican spokesperson.

The Vatican spokesperson said Pope Francis called John and Diane Foley and said he consoled them for their loss and assured them of his prayers.
