Medical examiner tells Fox: Pot in system could have made Michael Brown act crazy

The medical examiner who carried out a private autopsy on slain Missouri teenager Michael Brown suggested that reefer madness might have been to blame in the unarmed teens death.
Dr. Michael Baden conducted the second autopsy on Browns body and found that he had sustained six gunshot wounds, two to the head. The first autopsy conducted by the St. Louis County coroners office reportedly found that Brown had traces of marijuana in his system on the day he was killed.
Talking Points Memo reported that Baden was asked by Fox News Greta Van Susteren on Monday, Does the fact that they found marijuana, does that exclude the fact that there might be other drugs in his system or even that the marijuana was laced with anything? Is that the final analysis or could there be more information to come in terms of the toxicology?
Very important with marijuana is the levels of the different drugs that are present in marijuana to have an opinion as to whether or not he might have been affected by the marijuana, so that he may have been acting in a crazy way and may have done things to the police officer that normally he would not have done, Baden replied.

Sad., but most people that age are stupid about this subject.
Means nothing, ALL scientific evidence will prove absolutely that under the influence of MJ are you FAR FAR more likely NOT to be violent.
Cha
(297,289 posts)off his opinion on this. It's like they're trying Michael Brown in the media before it goes to trial. And, especially since the family's attorneys paid his airfare. It makes no freaking sense.

(17,196 posts)e haggard-looking woman in this mugshot will hope this horribly unflattering photo disappears very quickly.
The picture is of Emmerli Wilcoxson - who stole a cop car and led police on a 130mph chase before screaming into their radio as she crashed the vehicle and caused a pile-up.
The 40-year-old was stopped while high on synthetic marijuana on a street in Atlanta, Georgia, after police claimed she matched the description of a woman reportedly armed in the area.
Not a pretty picture: Emmerli Wilcoxson's haggard and bruised mugshot after she was arrested following high-speed crash on Sunday

(7,290 posts)He donated his services to perform the autopsy (I read his normal fee is $10,000). Travel expenses were paid by the family's attorneys.
Cha
(297,289 posts)family would be too happy with him spouting off that on fox "news"! Fucking crazy world.

(5,957 posts)The truth stands on its own and it doesn't change depending on who says it or to whom. What difference does it make who he says it to?
From what I can see, there is little interest here in finding the truth because anything that tends to support Wilson is immediately discounted as contrived and anything that supports Brown is glorified. To me, that smacks of a political agenda, not a desire to learn the truth.
Cha
(297,289 posts)excuses go ahead.
Dr Baden wasn't speaking to the truth.. he was making wild speculation about MJ to fox fucking "news".
