The people in Ferguson don't want the nation's eyes off them UNTIL

some justice is done and at the very least that means an arrest, a booking, a mugshot, and court date for the killer of Michael Brown. That is why they are out there in the streets every night. They don't want this killing swept under the rug!

Why is this so hard for the police to understand? They aren't going to go away "because you said so." Or because you tear gas them, or shoot at them, or arrest them. It just pisses more people off.

Is this not obvious to the police?

Would be a good idea too.

I want to read it - I'm sure they do too.

The longer they wait - the more they look like they are hiding something.

If I was his mother - I woud have resorted to calling the police Chief's mother vulgar names at this point. But I have a mouth on me and no fucks to give.

while what looks like a cover-up is happening. The people of Ferguson don't want the cameras to stop rolling so they'll do what it takes to keep this in the spotlight. And frankly, the cops are obliging them by doing what they're doing.

They are used to getting away with murder. They cannot believe that they are not going to get away with this one. They figure, people will eventually go home. But instead, people are going to Ferguson. Every-bit of this 'investigation' will be scrutinized and they may have to occupy the whole fucking town to get some justice, sadly. They need all the activists that can go t go. And the rest of us need to prevent the rightwing narrative from taking hold on our stupid as fuck media. Glad they tear gassed CNN dude.

This shit looks like the black and whites from the civil rights era. That is fucking sad. When Gaza has to give you tips on safety, you know shit is baaaaad.

by being over-reactionary. Fine by me. If they are too stupid to see that police over-reaction is what's causing the world to watch at this point.

has been kept down for so long that keeping them down is the only response the authorities can come up with.

When we say we need to take to the streets for economic and social justice this is the response we can expect from now on.

That people without power seeking justice, will used their bodies as payment for justice.

Being made tough by constant abuse is strength. There will always be the day the whips fail.

I suppose at the inevitable end to all of this. TPTB will be laying on the ground broken and bleeding, look up to us and say "We made you strong. Be grateful you whelps".

said the Mayor of Ferguson, meaning that the protesters should stay home and behave themselves.

During the 1968 Democratic convention when Chicago's finest began bashing in the heads of protesters, throwing tear gas bombs, and arresting them no matter what they were doing, thousands of us chanted "The whole world is watching". Daly threw the f-bomb at the "communist Chicago hippies" he hated so much but thanks to TV the whole world WAS watching and we made a difference. You WILL overcome one day, people of Ferguson.
