The one thing Ferguson doesn't seem to be about - so far - is guns (at least as far as the protestors go)
The protestors remind me of Egypt...rocks, bottles...stuff you can throw.
Where are all the guns?
I've heard there were voter registration setup in places - have there been any 2nd Amendment groups present to educate folks about their rights?
I fear - in Ferguson - the only time citizens ever hear about their rights is when its used in the sentence "You have the right to remain silent..."
I'm not a gun owner or activist - but these people have the right to protect themselves...which - apparently - "shall not be infringed."
I can't think of any other group that might need it more...that National Guard is to distant - not really a citizens militia anymore.
While it may seem counter-intuitive, I mean this in the "Teach a man to fish..." sense...
I know this may not be a popular sentiment here - but throwing it out there...

(4,062 posts)I've been wondering the same thing. All my "Cliven Bundy" associates are silent as mice about this. Either this is more threatening than a Chipotle or Starbucks or there might be something to this race angle.

(18,101 posts)want to inject their pet issues into this matter? Do you want the protesters to be armed? There are shootings there every night. The protesters want the police to respond to those.
I don't want to see bodies being cleaned up every morning.
