Capt. Johnson invited CNN to stay with him tomorrow to see what he sees. Tapper said okay.

9. Funny how the violence always starts after the thugs under his command teargas & bean bag everyone

And funny how it always seems to start right after someone just happens to throw a bottle.

You have the goons wearing armor that can stop a bullet but god forbids someone throws a bottle or the protesters get within 500ft of them.

5. Yes, predictably they're blaming the press for causing this stuff

The problem is that "this stuff' started before the press turned up, while Michael Brown's body was still in the middle of the street.

I also heard some guy mention "outside agitators." That's also bullshit.

Shit doesn't start until the riot cops show up.

When are they going to start to catch a clue? The riot police are the problem!

but just look at how swimmingly this mess has unfolded ever since his alleged "rescue"?

and you are championing his "leadership" .. really?

10. You seem to think that things are fine in the absence of police reaction

I'm interested in what you think he's doing so wrong.
If someone throws a molotov cocktail, what is the response you desire?
If people are being shot, what actions do you want?
When police did nothing, did it change anything?

The fact of the matter is, there is nothing he can do to appease some
people. If the police go away, they are at fault for any crime that occurs.
When they are there, people complain that they are unreasonable and
heavy handed.

Personally, I want to see is law and order (and no, that doesn't mean
halting peaceful protest). So what is really at question is what do people
like you want to see? What is it that he's doing so wrong? What would
you do?

13. That means a lot of different things to different people.

For me, it means a thorough investigation.

What does it mean to you?

I'd also like to point out, regarding police actions during these past
few nights, it's very easy to criticize when you bear no responsibility
for the safety of those involved.
