Is There A PR/Consulting Firm Out There That Advises Authorities Manage Situations Like Ferguson?...

I know I probably watch too much TV and programs like 'Scandal'. I just was wondering if there are PR Firms out there that advise the police in a situation like this as to how to manage it so that they could weasel out of situations like what has happened in Ferguson.

I'm blown away by how this has been managed by the police - from not releasing much info at the beginning; withholding the name of the officer that did the shooting; released the video tape at the store; and now today when the results of the autopsy was made public all of a sudden a female friend of the officer called in his side of the story that seems to fit with the circumstances of this whole incident. Also today we get the story that Michael Brown had marijuna in his system. Again - they attack the person that is dead and impugn him.

It seems that withholding any info has played well for them and it just seems like either this is a completely fabricated story on their part or they were just lucky that everything looks to be falling kind of neatly in place to exonerate this officer.

That's when I started to wonder if there are consulting PR firms out there - perhaps with lawyers on their staff and with a comprehensive database of other such incidents - so that they could advise of an alibi.

Anyone care to comment on this - or am is my tinfoil hat just too tight?

But again - the TV show 'Scandal' must have some basis of credibility and we do know that there are firms out there that work with celebrities and politicians to help them work through a situation and come out not looking so bad.

How many of them found religion; had their wife along side them when they asked for forgiveness of their constituency - because their wife forgave them. You know the drill.

I wasn't thinking about advice on how to mitigate the violence - I was thinking more on the order of - how do we protect the shooter and come up with a story that would fit the scenario and stand up in court to get this officer Wilson off without any charges and under the auspices that he was just doing his job.

Pure emotion driven despite any claims otherwise. The Democratic Party must distance itself from any perception that their constituents behave this way. It's immature and embarrassing.

Not interested.

perhaps subconsciously that is where my question came from. As I see this firm - it seems like a firm that will help reconstruct or construct a good image for the police department in Ferguson - basically what they can say or do to win the hearts of the people of Ferguson. However - that will be a monumental job to do.

My thought was more on the order of advising the police as to how to protect the shooter Wilson and create a scenario that would make the victim Michael Brown look bad. It just seems to me that they withheld info until the people of the community had given their accounts of what happened to the MSM. Now that they know what the people saw - how do we make up a story that will kind of fit what they saw - but will create enough doubt in a courtroom situation - in order to get this Wilson guy off.

They didn't release his name. When they did - they also released the video at the convenience store to make Michael look bad.

They didn't release the autopsy report and probably had time to study it before they released it - and when they did we had accounts in the press that Michael was under the influence of MJ. Again to mess with Michael's integrity.

Now we here of a woman today that says she talked with Wilson and she gives his perspective of what happened and it seems to neatly fit with all the other things that we learned piecemeal after the police had a chance to review and reconstruct.

I guess I'm just too suspicious - and that led me to believe that there is some PR firm out there that comes in on these situations and works a story up so that it might create enough reasonable doubt to get this guy off. That's just my take on this.
