Who are you?------RT @piersmorgan: Hope you've got your putting game on today @bubbawatson - because I'm taking you down. #CNN 9pm/ET
Heh!
Bubba is going to be on his show. This may be another appearance he is being shuttled to by his agent.
Talk about culture clash. Might be worth watching.

(13,305 posts)His obvious and pathetic attempts at every turn to generate controversy to get viewers is getting annoying. Go away, Murdoch lackey.

(2,940 posts)Piers's tweet doesn't make any sense. (Unless he and Watson are going to be having a putting competition instead of an interview, I guess. And even then, "I'm taking you down"?!?? Really, Piers?)
Anyway, Watson's reply was perfect!

(25,984 posts)I barely have a passing acquaintance with the name 'Piers Morgan'; I couldn't identify him in a line-up. I had to do a search to find out who Bubba Watson, as I have no familiarity with who's hot in professional golf. Why is Piers Morgan 'taking him down,' and why is this meeting a culture clash?
On edit: I just saw another OP you started about Bubba Watson:

Any guy who goes up against the power structure that supports his livelihood to speak out against sexism is alright in my book.

(25,984 posts)I found an interesting article in the sports section of the Boston Herald:

Had to LOL at this:
Unlike some golf tournaments, the Masters is not a race that goes to the plodding. It is not the Newt Gingrich Open. It is seldom won by the most conservative entrant.

(17,111 posts)he is who he is. He has never had a golf lesson. The people who comment on the tournaments almost have spasms on the air trying to explain his unorthodox swing. He breaks every rule and makes it work.
He uses a pink driver in honor of his father who died recently of cancer.
He is one of a kind and I hope he continues to win and tie the golf establishment into knots.
