About the shot(s) that some witnesses said hit Brown in the back

The female witness on Lawrence O'Donnell's show last week said that she was told by a nearby resident that at least one bullet had hit the resident's house, and that the police had told that resident not to touch it, that of course it was needed for investigation.

Now that we know Brown wasn't hit in the back, it seems he 'jerked' once her heard the shot/shots fired and turned around and put his hands up.

I can't find a transcript.

and we have a pretty credible witness to that information.

Of course there is so much we don't know but all sorts of rumors and bullshit stories are going around, we need to remember what we do know as true.

If I heard or felt a bullet fly by me, I would jerk too. It wouldn't necessarily have to hit him.

So although Brown wasn't hit square in the back, it seems likely that some shots were fired at him from behind. The 2 head wounds are certainly from the front, the final, fatal shot from "above" (which would be from the front if he were kneeling or falling forward).

What if Brown raised his hands before he turned around to face his killer? Wouldn't those entry wounds in his right arm appear to have gone in from the front?

Not being a forensic pathologist or expert in ballistics, I absolutely don't know. Perhaps someone with more knowledge might care to weigh in?

A grazing bullet wound would sure make me jerk. It wouldn't be possible for a witness to tell at a distance whether the shot was a superficial wound or a clear miss. Either would have caused him to stop and turn, either could have ended with the bullet in a wall.

I also suspect that the narrative of him being "on his knees" could have been part of his involuntary collapse from the early wounds, rather than a deliberate part of his surrender plea.
