How come the Colorado movie theater shooter who was armed to the teeth and killed numerous people...

....was taken into police custody without being killed while an unarmed black teenager was summarily executed by police for allegedly being a threat? Even though numerous witnesses said he had his hands up?

One is alive and the other is dead.

Can somebody explain this to me?

How is this possible?

You might say the situation is "black and white".

They did however hit him with what was available like a chair. The only other person with a gun arrived after the shooting had stopped.

In Aurora the perp surrendered. At this point it is the police's contention that Brown was struggling with the cop at the time of the shooting. The autopsy released today doesn't provide enough information to determine if that is accurate or not. But also in Aurora there were more than 20 cops. In Ferguson there was only one. That might cause a different reaction on either side. The cop could have been more likely to pull the trigger because he was alone or Brown might haave been more brazen because there was only one cop.

Compare Holmes' image used in the media to Michael Brown's.

This had sparked a movement with the hashtag, #iftheygunnedmedown.

Perception is king and it's the corporate media's task to ensure that PoC remain second and third rate citizens in this country, while putting White on a pedestal no matter what they do. This is the sad truth in this country.
