Saying as early as 3 hrs ago they were getting tear gassed and shot at by police with no warning. Cops were pointing guns at him. He realized they had no way of knowing he was media, even though they wouldn't care...

What idiots. They have no right to stop reporters freely filming. They are morons. So many lawsuits they're opening themselves up to.

You're right that I shouldn't have to use that terminology but they were definitely not being allowed to film. Looks like they were kettled. Arrested for "failure to disperse." Hundreds of Occupy protesters got "caught" not "dispersing."

It's so unbelievable. But hopefully it is ultimately going to be positive that it escalated like this and policing gets scrutinized more and we start to demilitarize it.
