At least Hillary is forcing the 2016 race to focus more on international issues.

It would be nice if the race where much more focused on foreign policy instead of domestic stuff. The media will fight it as they like to focus on what's less important. And as conceited as many Americans have become there is a certain amount of "If it ain't effecting red blooded Mericans, I ain't caring about it," mentality to overcome.

1. It's 'conceited' to care about feeding your family?

That's the whole trick.

They want Americans to forget about bread and butter issues and rebuilding the country and instead focus on intervening in other countries' problems.

Many would like to avoid the issues in the world but with 24/7 news and information about what is happening here and abroad the candidates will need sharp teeth to handle the problems. It will take someone who understands what and where to take a stand. The mayors need to handle local issues, the governors the state issues but t will take someone with foreign experience the presidents job.
