I'll tell ya' what's weird...

The suspicious absence of some kind of internet footprint for this shooter cop, OUTSIDE of his name being plastered all over the place after that presser. Hell, everyone will Google themselves for shits and giggles and find at least a few links here and there. Social media, school ties, this, that and the another thing. Why can't anyone find anything on this dude... Not even a photo? Not even a public announcement regarding some mundane aspect related to his work as a Ferguson PD officer?

Makes you wonder what they've REALLY been up to for the last week. Very strange indeed.

I have a feeling they've been using the past few days to distract from them shredding and scrubbing as much information as possible.

You would think that you would at least get one of the bullshit information sites that aggregate public records and then ask you to pay for a full report.

There's nothing on that dude and he's a public servant. As one his name should come out as an announcement, for his hiring as a cop or something. He has friends, coworkers and family, I'm sure that they're on social media, or were and there would be links there.

from the NY Times:

Chief Jackson said that Officer Wilson was a four-year veteran of the force who had worked previously at another local department for two years. Chief Jackson described the officer as “a gentle, quiet man” and “a distinguished officer” who had no disciplinary problems.

<snip>

Greg Kloeppel, a lawyer for the union representing police officers in Ferguson, said Officer Wilson had received an award for “extraordinary effort in the line of duty” in February, but it was not immediately clear what that case involved.

http://www.nytimes.com/2014/08/16/us/darren-wilson-identified-as-officer-in-fatal-shooting-in-ferguson-missouri.html

Hopefully some journalists are digging - there must be some public record of his 'award'.

19. Not trying to start anything here

But this thread sounds like a lot of supposition and nothing else. And one thing I've observed over the years, once the public becomes enraged over anything, and then gets new info to show that maybe they were wrong, they still have a hard time letting it go and accepting that maybe they were wrong...so they try to make up things to support their views. This is how conspiracy theories start.

I am not siding with the officer. I am not saying Brown's shooting was justified. I just think people need to wait for more info before "making things up", because they are frustrated.

It's obvious Brown was not the sweet innocent kid he was portrayed as, which is what got everyone's dander up. No one could in all honesty, believe the officer's account, because there was no reason to even accept that Brown would have started a scuffle with the officer. That's not true any longer.

I am so sad for his family. Now, not only is he dead, and there is no "answers" for them, but they also now know he was involved in a robbery. That has to be tearing them apart. And they too will be trying to manufacture reasons why this whole thing was the officer's fault. Because they are going to be in denial for awhile, like the rest of us.

While smearing a dead unarmed kid.

Complained about a shoplifting crime while sat back and yet before watched businesses get looted and burned while doing nothing.

Attacked peaceful and unarmed protestors with military grade weapons.

Arrested and attacked reporters.

Refused to come forward with basic details about things in the public record.

They're both incompetent and underhanded, secretive and made just about every bad decision at every turn.

The Ferguson PD is an instrument of violence and oppression.

So, pardon me if I'm a bit skeptical about their motives and actions here. They've lost any and all privileges to earn even a scintilla of a shadow of a doubt.

And I will most certainly go along with the incompetent part of this. They royally screwed up this whole thing and antagonized an already sensitive issue by not being more open about things they knew that no one else did. Stupid stupid stupid.

I don't do FaceBook or any of the other social media, I have googled my name on occasion and there isn't anything there. It's not because I want to be anonymous, I just don't like to make personal information public.

was leaving town. Did the state police, national guard, and/or governor know? Is that why they let the situation deteriorate so badly in Ferguson? Were they waiting for Wilson to leave town and for his online info to get scrubbed? Something stinks about this whole process.
