Absent compelling interest in seeing how, for example, a season of Survivor pans out, or some other pending development here on Earth, I don't have any great interest in experiencing the progression of a progressive terminal illness.

I watched Alzheimers turn my grandfather from a robust, energetic man to a frightened child. Being diagnosed with that has always been a fear of mine. Should it happen, I'll go out quietly, with a glass of whiskey in hand and Mozart on the radio.
