It's Very Disturbing That The Police Chief When He Dropped This Robbery Story Didn't Take Questions.

at that first news conference he held earlier today.

It's almost like he wanted to drop this story on us and then let it ruminate with the MSM so that when he was to answer questions at a later time - he would have time to rehearse and make sure he could refute any issues that may be brought up that might complicate his version.

If he took questions this a.m. - he might have tripped up and not be able to respond in a manner that would fit the scenario that he dropped on us. Now all those things that were brought up by people that don't quite make sense between this a.m. and this upcoming news conference - he'll be able to answer to fit his version of what happened.

I'm disturbed that it's his force that is investigating this incident and not some independent group. I'm hoping that the Justice Dept/the Feds take this investigation over going forward.

The whole manner in which it was presented is bizarre, and generates many more questions than answers. Given all the previous lies and obfuscation by the FPD, I'm viewing the robbery story with suspicion.

because the police department can't credibly say some of those things themselves.

as soon as they answer questions they have to make it clear that the victim was not actually "wanted" and the earlier incident had no bearing on his death.

but they can create an information vacuum for the media to will with their usual crap.
