If Governor Nixon won't intervene then he needs to resign

I don't care if he is a Democrat, the Governor has a responsibility to protect the people of his state no matter his party. Right now the people of his state are being assaulted by an out of control police force.

Nixon needs to intervene and he needs to intervene immediately, if he does not do anything tonight then tomorrow people need to start pushing for his resignation.

I know that he is not about to resign immediately, but that does not mean we should not pressure him to. We need to let our elected officials know that we are not going to let them remain silent while the people of their community are being violently attacked, we need to demand leadership from them and if they won't lead then we need to tell them we want them gone.

No one should have to ask where their Governor is in a crisis like this, If the Governor doesn't want to be a leader and stand up for his own citizens then he needs to stop pretending to be a leader and resign.

will cancel all scheduled appearances and make an appearance tomorrow. Finally. But I wonder what the mayor and other elected officials in that town are doing? They are the immediate bosses of the police department and they don't seem to be doing anything.

You are right about the city officials, pressure needs to be put on them as well.

We were just talking about that. I hope his appearance is meaningful to the people he represents.

Thanks for the info.

has been a profile in cowardice that should ruin his political chances FOREVER.

A fucking bigger failure of leadership I cannot recall.

And don't get me started on the President hobnobbing in Martha's Vineyard.

I'm beyond enraged.
