(20,631 posts)I'm not a big "movie guy" by any stretch of the imagination, but I feel compelled to search that one out, just based on the couple of minutes that were shown.

(856 posts)I also watched that clip. I agree Robin's acting was compelling!!! Robin Williams will be so missed.

(22,000 posts)He did a great job of bringing the creepiness of the character to life.

(16,399 posts)....I think a lot of folks avoided it because he wasn't being the clown. But it was a good flick.
He was also in a movie called Insomnia with Al Pacino, which I think less people know about.

(4,835 posts)He was in a movie 'Final Cut' that was kind of interesting, but unknown.
Kind of a dystopic future film.

(9,896 posts)that most (not all) of the movies mentioned as his "best" were him being doing his manic thing. I found his silent menace stuff to be very compelling. Anthony Hopkins doing what's his name in Silence of the Lambs (which, frankly, I found somewhat ridiculous) had NOTHING on Williams when he decided to be quiet.
Mork to photo lab guy - now that was range.

(1,638 posts)I can't find more than a 5 second clip of him in that movie on the web. He's in a couple parts of the trailer though:

(14,040 posts)I also liked Insomnia. The reason I really liked World According to Garp was because it wasn't his usual "manic" style.
