IU raised two boys, and they didn't have changing tables in the restrooms back then. I NEVER even thought of changing the baby's diaper in an open public area...ESPECIALLY a resturant! Sometimes I'm really amazed at the thoughtless things some people do. Apparently they don't ever think of other people at all...only themselves.

She shouldn't take the children to a restaurant with that kind of attitude and behavior.

I worked at a science museum with an IMAX theater, and it really ticked me off that people changed their kids in the theater, on the seats. This, where there's food, is a thousand times worse.

If it was too much bother to take her other kids to the car to change the diaper, wasn't it going to be too much trouble to take them all to the bathroom with her to change it?

How on earth did babies of my era get changed without public changing tables? Were parents back then magic? Did babies not crap? Or did people figure out a way that wasn't revolting and a threat to public health and safety?

... who wants to eat in a toilet?

Nuh-uh, you take that shit (literally) to a bathroom or outside.

Babies nurse at unpredictable times, and they should get to eat when and where other people do. Yes, babies poo at unpredictable times, too. But people don't poo at the table (at least we hope not).

Believe it or not people managed somehow without them, and without resorting something as ridiculous as this. And how absurd that they are filing a complaint, I'm glad these parents are getting publicity if for no other reason than the ridicule they are due.

being many public changing tables available when he was little. I did have a kind of small portable changing pad that I always took with me to use in the car, if necessary. I cannot imagine what this mother was even thinking.

We're all sitting and eating Thanksgiving dinner and this person-- a relative of a relative-- has to change her baby's diaper so she takes the baby a few feet away to the living room, lays the baby on the floor in full view of all at the table, and does the change. Not a small house, plenty of space (and 2 or 3 bathrooms) away from the dining area to take care of it, but no, this one needs to share the experience with everyone.
