or hate them, but feel they need to be read and responded to. So a list of threads I rec'd does not give much information on how i feel.

That said, its like "Like" - some may use it for exposure for really egregious news items. I've done that myself just so more people may see what asshole-du-jour said/did on the Sunday morning Egofest...
