Had a feeling this was going to happen. To much anger bottled up, coupled with a tragic shooting and hot nights.

I understand the anger, but remember tthe whites that marched with MLK, and were killed due to association of civil rights.

(1,975 posts)I was in high school in Memphis when the LA riots broke out.
We were sitting out of class and a riot broke out due to a few individuals looking for nothing more than start trouble.

(70 posts)Doesn't help bring justice to anyone. I hope what I'm hearing on the scanner is being exaggerated because I fear this will be just a black eye more then anything.
How can you rob a local mom and pop store, that has employees who depend on a low wage check for survival, and talk about justice at the same time.
Flame away but this is sad and disturbing.
I truly understand the outrage but this isn't the answer.. .and I don't pretend to know what the answer is but I know this isn't.

(53,339 posts)That's not unusual. It may be worse when it happens with mobs, but it also happens individually. Look at the experience of war veterans and other trauma survivors, for example.

(70,227 posts)I do understand the anger in Ferguson right now--but the looting is hard to wrap my head around. Also, with camera's everywhere in our society--this will not go down good for anyone involved.

(70,227 posts)--and then the riot broke out (? location from the police station). Anyway--I agree--this 'riot' is not good for the cause.
