Rand Paul: I Do Not Support Impeachment

By DANIEL STRAUSS Published AUGUST 5, 2014, 4:53 PM EDT

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) seems to be going against some of his Republican colleagues in the House concerning whether to impeach President Barack Obama: He's against it.

That's according to reporter Chris Moody.

A number of other lawmakers, contrary to Paul, have suggested an openness to impeaching Obama.

State Sen. Jim Tracy, a Republican running to defeat two-term Rep. Scott DesJarlais, for instance, also said he would be open to impeaching the president.

realize Impeachment is politically a losing proposition for them. The only ones playing it up are those running in deep red districts/states who are playing solely to their base and not worrying about the national party implications. There's a reason Dems are fundraising on this issue just as much as, if not more than, the Repugs

If the House does impeach, how will he vote in the trial?
