The legitimate PNA (They prefer "State of Palestine" but lets stick to the neutral PA or PNA) headed by Abbas has no want of them, and Hamas wouldn't do anything good with them and already gets all of them they need from Iran and Syria. What would Hamas do with more guns? Probably shoot Israeli children. Hamas are both unhinged and terroristic. Let's not facilitate that.

What we need to do is find ways to diplomatically empower the Abbas faction without undermining Israel...that would have a longer-term net effect of marginalizing Hamas. If Gazans can see West Bankers making progress towards a Palestinian state because of peace that they are not making because of Hamas...they will eventually shitcan Hamas in order to have what the West Bank is working towards.
