Television pastor Pat Robertson on Monday advised a man to end his friendship with a woman because she used marijuana and had mental problems. During the Bring It On portion of Mondays 700 Club, a viewer named Mike told Robertson that he had a friend who needs help and wont take it.
At times she seems to have mood swings and sometimes I smell pot on her, Mike said. What should I do?
I think what you ought to do is get yourself another friend, Robertson recommended. Shes using dope, and shes got mood swings. Shes got a mental problem.
If shes this way now, shes only going to get worse going away, he continued. You cant live somebody elses life for them. You have to live your own, and pray and hope that they will find the Lord themselves.

Of the many roles Pat Robertson has assumed over his five-decade-long career as an evangelical leader including presidential candidate and provocative voice of the right wing his newest guise may perhaps surprise his followers the most: marijuana legalization advocate.
I really believe we should treat marijuana the way we treat beverage alcohol, Mr. Robertson said in an interview on Wednesday. Ive never used marijuana and I dont intend to, but its just one of those things that I think: this war on drugs just hasnt succeeded.
(Robertson said) the nation has gone overboard on this concept of being tough on crime.

But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
So called Christian he is. The bible says here to stick by your friends

(6,021 posts)Yeah, Pat... console your poor, adulterer husband, but dump anyone requiring any true help. I hope Robertson convinced this man that he's nothing but a vacuous, evil shitbag. There's NOTHING Christian about him.
