Pat Robertson Tells Man To Unfriend Pot-Smoking Woman Who ‘Needs Help’ With Mental Problems

Television pastor Pat Robertson on Monday advised a man to end his friendship with a woman because she used marijuana and had “mental problems.” During the “Bring It On” portion of Monday’s 700 Club, a viewer named Mike told Robertson that he had “a friend who needs help and won’t take it.”

“At times she seems to have mood swings and sometimes I smell pot on her,” Mike said. “What should I do?”
“I think what you ought to do is get yourself another friend,” Robertson recommended. “She’s using dope, and she’s got mood swings. She’s got a mental problem.”

“If she’s this way now, she’s only going to get worse going away,” he continued. “You can’t live somebody else’s life for them. You have to live your own, and pray and hope that they will find the Lord themselves.”
