A whiner who says government doesn't work then wants a big fat paycheck for not working. The cognitive dissonance astounds me.

(4,113 posts)2. Whenever this topic comes up with my Repub relatives who own businesses,
I give them this scenario: If you're hiring and one of the people you interview gives you a spiel along the lines that he doesn't believe in your business, he thinks your business is inherently bad, and if hired, he'll do everything to make it not work.
Would you hire such a person?
If not, then why would you vote for a Republican who essentially campaigns on the same theme?
