All of the victims are black. The suspected shooter is a white male and is believed to be traveling in a white truck, said Brooks.

It was not immediately clear whether any of the victims knew each other, he said.

They range in age from 31 to 54. They were shot over the course of seven hours at four different street locations in the early morning, Brooks said.

Consider this...it is a pervasive belief in this society that minorities use the race card to "get ahead". Heard it all my life. By waiting a day or so for the story to stabilize, facts to come out etc, defeats that perception. I think it is the smart thing to do.

First stories published on this did not have the eye witness statements about a white male asking directions before shooting people. That came out subsequently...and that supports my position.

This is just a guess, but I think some of those murderers in the 1970s and 1980s and 1990s were white, and some of their victims may have been black. The violent crime rate with black victims was 41.6 per 1,000 in 1999.
