Limits on Lobbyists as Hosts? Simply Unworkable, They Say

WASHINGTON — Tough new limits proposed on the way special interests could court executive branch officials have prompted a fierce counterattack from lobbyists who fear they will end a cherished Washington ritual: hosting federal workers at events like conferences, cocktail parties, galas and movie screenings.

The American League of Lobbyists, a trade group, denounced the proposal as excessive, and leaders of other groups branded it as demeaning and dismissive of the role that industry experts can play in formulating sound public policy.

The question now is :
Will he stick to his guns? Or will he let the incessant whining back him down?

5. A valid link with facts is always a good argument

But I assure you that your unsubstantive opinion will never change my mind about anything. Perhaps if you present a reasoned and valid argument to defend your opinion which would, by necessity, include some facts and figures which you could easily back up with valid links then you might change my mind about anything if I were ignorant and just spouting something I heard on the radio.

But it's considered de rigueur that if you state something as fact rather than mere opinion on DU it's understood that you can back it up with valid links so the rest of us can check it out for ourselves. You'll find many people here will ask for links.
