I posted her original email a few weeks ago. This is a followup, in case you missed my earlier posting. She's trying to stop Dow Chemical from getting approval for another horrible poison.

Dear Friends,
Thank you so much for signing my petition to save the Monarch butterfly. The support I've received so far to block Dow Chemical's application for its Monarch-killing toxic herbicide is completely overwhelming -- but we're just getting started.
The EPA is considering Dow's application to approve this dangerous chemical cocktail over the summer. That's why we need to keep up the pressure on this agency to save the Monarch and prevent Dow's product from coming to market.
We're already at 187,000 signatures, but I know we'll make an even bigger impact if we hit 200,000 strong.
Will you share this petition with your friends and family and ensure the EPA hears us loud and clear?
Thanks for everything you do.

(14,881 posts)I have carefully mowed around all the milkweek on my property, hoping to provide a small feeding ground for them.
The milkweed have been blooming for a couple weeks. Not a single Monarch.
When I moved here 11 years ago, I had hundreds of them...

I've seen very few butterflies of any kind this year. Few frogs or toads or salamanders either.

(11,076 posts)The milkweed continues to bloom. We have had swallowtails of various colors and a few other varieties. Ten years ago we had hundreds in view at a time. Not so much these days. We still continue to provide food and shelter in hopes that the numbers come back.
