On July 12, Sierra Sandiso became of Miss Idaho 2014. Even though Sandiso impressed the judges in every category, there was one part about the swimsuit competition that has everyone talking: her insulin pump.

Insulin pumps have revolutionized what used to be awful: figuring out what dose of insulin to give depending on what the blood sugar was at the time.

It has saved many people from trips to the hospital while they went into diabetic comas or what have you.

Or am I? What would happen if a contestant actually did come out wearing a bikini but with a holster and a handgun? Wouldn't there be whoops and cheers from quite a few in an Idaho audience?

It probably violates the fine print of some pageant rule, or someone would have done it by now.
