Jason Carter Destroying Nathan Deal In Georgia By Large Margin In Conservative Poll

http://www.addictinginfo.org/2014/07/18/democrat-jason-carter-destroying-nathan-deal-in-georgia-race-for-governor-by-large-margin-in-conservative-poll/

In recent midterm election years, Republicans have had the advantage and going into 2014, the GOP looks to take control of the Senate, maintain dominance in the House, and tighten their grip on state legislatures and governorships. But Republicans, as usual, may be getting too cocky about their chances.

For the last ten years, Georgia has been a red state in the deep south. It’s considered a Republican stronghold. However, that may not last much longer if former President Jimmy Carter’s grandson has anything to say about it.

last week. A local woman told us she is a Republican but is going to vote for Carter because his is a local and "pretty conservative" for a Democrat.

She also introduced us to boiled peanuts, a local favorite. (I can see why they never caught on outside Georgia).

Boiled peanuts have been in other states for a long time. I had them when I lived in South Florida.

You most likely got dried peanuts that have been rehydrated. Green boiled peanuts are a delicacy in my house.

I thought maybe they were this years that were not mature yet, but the shells were quite fibrous.

I was also surprised that pecans were cheaper in Florida than in Georgia. But the they were probably last years harvest.

A small company trucks them up to Wisconsin every summer. They make stops throughout the area during the season. We buy them by the case and freeze what we don't eat fresh. The highlight of our summer between strawberries and cherries.

The rightwing media just wants to make it look that way
so Dems will despair and not vote.

I'm very confused by statements that the Repugs can take the U.S. Senate and will gain more house seats?? They are referring to the same politicians who have undermined the Obama presidency (what he has not done on his own), pushed Sequestration and every other recent foil to running the government of our country. What's real.

Try to make it into a close race for ratings, even though Romney blundered every step of the way. They pretended he was some elder statesman and not an idiot, when he proved he was an idiot every step of the way.

From what I've read about the Repubs, one is a tea-party nut-job and the other is a strongly pro-business user of public monies for personal gain. I hope they are negatively campaigning against each other.
