Goodness she needs to step up big time. I thought she would win easily. Obviously I don't know a thing about Texas....lol.

Scandal taints Georgia’s GOP governor as Democratic challenger surges in polls

(snip)

A real mark of Deal’s mounting difficulties, however, is the fact that Democratic challenger State Sen. Jason Carter — grandson of former President Jimmy Carter — is beating Deal in the polls by a steadily widening margin.

Conservative pollsters Landmark Polling found that “Carter received 48.7 percent in the poll and Deal received 41.3 percent. Libertarian Andrew Hunt received 4 percent of the vote in the poll. The poll has a margin of error of +/- 4 percent.”

(snip)

Thanks for the thread, yortsed snacilbuper.

I thinks Dem's will pick up PA (CORBETT IS TOAST), FL (CHARLIE SHOULD WIN, LOTS OF GOODWILL IN THE STATE FOR HIM , HE IS AGRESSIVE), KS..(DEM DAVIS IS KICKING ASS) should hold on to CO (HICK WILL HOLD ON ),AR (Ross is a strong DEM candidate for AR), MA (UNLESS COAKLEY screws the pooch again) so overall looking good for the Dem's on the GOV races...so far.... oh I almost forgot the sleeper race of races, GA is starting to lean DEM now for the Governor's mansion... who woulda thunk it?? Mr. Carter's grandson, yeah!!! So it looks like another one for the blue team, cautiously optimistic!!

His recall election may have been close, but I know that a lot of people didn't want to change mid-stream in order to stop recall elections. His economic policies suck and the possibility of an indictment would also change the complexion of that race.

WI may hinge alot more on turnout... since there are more Dem's there.. but they have to be really motivated to turn out Walker.. Burke seems to be stepping things up quite a bit so that is a very good sign.. hope she gets even more aggressive and more John Doe stuff comes out .. that will help!

I think overall Dem's are doing alot better than anyone could have ever hoped for in these Governor's races in a mid-term.. to not just holding their own, but actually going to be possibly picking up Governor's Mansion's... that is HUGE! Same thing with the Senate.. the GOP thought we would already be TOAst by now.. instead, Dem's holding their own so far in the Senate.. lets do this!!!

And if we can get more Dems there, we can reverse some of the ridiculous gerrymandering with the 2020 census. Corbett is toast and many will just throw the D lever, I know I will. Turning the statehouses blue will have lasting benefits at all levels.
