(53,661 posts)If they squawked, I'd post this:
Obama would never say that. And they'd probably ban me for the first pic. Or make death threats...
They'd either be on board or be quiet if this were posted:
No matter what, they'll support Putin and Palin because of 'that there Kenyan in the White House.'

(53,661 posts)Since he's fluent in a lot of languages over there...
But I doubt if google would give us an answer, it's slang and probably not translatable.
Maybe a translation of 'Look into my eyes, darling' would explain those two winky winks!

(54,408 posts)"Ещё бы" may be an expression nowadays, but I've never heard it. Ещё is sort of the Russian "yet."
"Ещё нет" is "not yet," and "Ещё раз" is "one more (i.e. yet another) time"
"бы" is just a particle introduced in sentences to indicate the conditional, e.g. Я знал=I knew, Я бы знал=I would have known
"You Betcha," unless there is some modern phrase for it, would just be translated by "Конечно (kan-YESH-na)," which almost sounds similar. It just means "of course."

However I will say that I trust Obama more than I do Putin. Putin appears to have conquest on his mind. Obama doesn't seem to have any interest in starting any wars.
"I don't trust either"
"I trust Obama more"
Something looks odd here - How can you trust one more then the other, if you don't trust either of them?

Yo, RT-USA haters, it's called FREEDOM OF THE PRESS, listen and learn
http://www.democraticunderground.com/10025258306
REASON FOR ALERT
This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.
ALERTER'S COMMENTS
Great example of dishonesty: the "50 recs" thread referred to merely was an opinion calling RT an unreliable source. http://www.democraticunderground.com/10025256967
This thread is crazy, over-the-top flamebait and callout, echoing right wing Duck Dynasty apologetics. Nothing worth discussing. It's because of a broad brush accusation that DUers are "against the basic principles the U.S.A was founded on" and support "other horrors."
JURY RESULTS
You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Fri Jul 18, 2014, 08:10 PM, and the Jury voted 4-3 to HIDE IT.
Juror #1 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Flamebait. Why this passion for RT on DU? It's propaganda pure and simple. The Op clearly needs to study up on the meaning of the First Amendment and how it applies to a private site.
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: the discussion following is enough.
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #5 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: This thread should be in a straight jacket.
Juror #6 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Mr Corruption is invited to return to the underside of the bridge from whence he came.
Juror #7 voted to HIDE IT

Even your second link doesn't show any one "pushing" RT.
You seem so intent on dividing DU into Obama lovers and Putin lovers, Obama lovers and Snowden lovers. The fact is the world isn't so simplistic and black and white like that. You really want to continue that sentiment of "you're either for us or against us" but it wasn't right when Bush said it and it's not right when the BOGGERS try to enact it either.

(14,578 posts)In some areas, he has done well, in others poorly, and he's just plain wrong on the drone policies and NSA bloat.
It is a genuine pity that a group of opportunistic, corporate owned people in Congress care more about smearing him than about governing the country.
You know, when pilots are trained the first thing said to them is, "No matter what else is happening, fly the plane."
Well, whether you love him, are lukewarm toward him or hate him, Obama is TRYING to fly the plane. This is more than we can say for the GOP. Unfortunately, if voters vote stupidly this time around, the plane may crash. We're already pretty far off course.

If not for Obama, we would all be knee deep in blood...thanks to McCain and his insane plan (in his 2nd term) on destroying the world in order to save it!

They think this is a game? The WORLD is a gazillion times safer with the BFEE out of power and the same will hold true (even more so for Russia) when Putin is no more and there is a freely elected leader of Russia! I think some of the people supporting Putin, need to learn something about their new found leader - he is only one step away from being another Stalin!
Until then, anyone that believes Putin is some kind of great leader, will get nothing but snark from me. The man belongs in a prison cell right next to Cheney and Bush as far as I am concerned!

(10,893 posts)particularly when looking at some of those who voted "pass" instead of Obama. The choice between Obama and Putin should be a no-brainer for a person who is supposedly a Democrat and posting on a site called DemocraticUnderground. The economy has been improving under Obama, he has been busy drawing down two wars, and he has been very vocal about women's rights and gay rights, while Putin's agenda has been much more regressive. And in Russia, they've got even more of a surveillance state than the U.S., and the Putin administration has been notorious for jailing journalists that criticize them.
There's no comparison when one objectively looks at the agendas of these two presidents.
