Dinesh D’Souza’s ‘America’ Slams Google Again Over Missing Search Results

http://www.deadline.com/2014/07/dinesh-dsouza-america-google-missing-movie-showtimes/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook

Dinesh D’Souza and the team behind the recently released documentary America: Imagine The World Without Her still want to know why Google won’t display the show times for their movie. Earlier this week, lawyers for the conservative author/filmmaker sent a second letter to the tech giant’s chief legal officer David Drummond trying to get the situation resolved, I’ve learned. The July 16 letter from Sheppard, Mullin attorney Kelly Crabb requested “that Google correctly display information for America: Imagine The World Without Her in the same way it displays information for other movies currently in theaters.”

You’d think that would be a simple enough request for one of the world’s top search engines. But in this case, you’d be wrong. “I don’t know what the point of a search engine is if people can’t access the information they’re looking for,” a frustrated D’Souza told me today. In addition to no showtimes listed, no click-through poster for the pic appears in the Google banner search result — though 2004?s Team America, Fox’s The Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes, Transformers: Age Of Extinction, Disney/Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier and the as-yet-unreleased The Avengers: Age Of Ultron do.

I think his problem is that he doesn't have an agency taking care of his SEO and SEM!!!

Google searches are based on popularity aren't they? underpants Jul 2014 #3
I think it only shows you showtimes if there is a theater within 50 miles that bothered to screen it AtheistCrusader Jul 2014 #4

Maybe Google doesn't want to promote a film made by a criminal. Maybe Google has religious reasons.

Take it to the Supreme's asshole.

Anyway, he's full of it. I googled "movie America", and his movie came up fourth or fifth in the list, under American Beauty and American Sniper. When I selected the search, and the The IMDb and Fandango "get tickets now" sites are #1 & 2. Then his own movie site.
If I google d'Sousa America, the news articles and controversy links come up first, and then IMDb, then his web site, then Fandango.
So if I really wanted to see that p.o.s., I could find tickets and showtimes for it easily enough.

And I have no clue what he's crying about, poor baby - is it because it doesn't come up as flashy as the "Planet of the Apes" movie or any of the other studio blockbusters opening now? If he googled "movies opening (whatever date), why is he surprised the listings are based on interest created off crap-loads of money pushing trailers and associated product pushed to the 11 - 25 crowd who aren't in school right now.
There is never going to be any major buzz from some whiny complaining in op-eds and on Faux and Bobble-heads.

He should be happy that his theater showings are easier to find than those of "Knights of Badassdom" were.

Hmmm - it also looks like Amazon is selling the movie (top of the side panel). So if anyone wants to see it, it's easy enough to find. What's the problem? He's got a boo-boo on his ego?

One, it is free advertising for him.

Second, it helps his narrative of a 'vast left wing conspiracy' type thing. That generates him hits/views too. He can't lose.

.... in accordance with your FREE MARKET beliefs, Google, a FREE CORPORATION with RIGHTS OF PERSONHOOD, might elect to un-promote your piece of shit "film".

It is completely within their rights ACCORDING TO ALL YOU FREE MARKET folks, so why the fuss?

D'Souza could just call everyone in the country who wants to see his "documentary" and tell them where and when it's showing. He could use the same phone booth to place the calls and host the screening. Efficient.

Dinesh D'Souza is a hack. He sucks money out of the mindless fox viewer but has no legitimate claim to be taken serious. That he is a talentless hack is just PART OF THE CONSPIRACY
