(10,602 posts)In a way I am purposely ridiculous. The GOP makes absurd sick and racist statements every day and even double down. And they get away with it every single time. Sure what I said is a little over the top. I worked in programs for 24 years and I will guarantee it that if something like the Ryan budget were to pass millions would be extremely adversely affected. With what I witnessed personally every day what GOP policies do to people they might as well be these people.
I have seen such deep despair at time that it was haunting. I have met so many people who have NO CHANCE WHATSOEVER and there is nothing I can do to help them. And I know for a fact that they will economically crash. And I know they have no future.
It does not matter whether you actually do what the Khmer Rouge and Pol Pot did directly or if you sentence millions of American to slow economic death. And it does not matter if you are going out of your way to demonize these people so they are also hated.
I have experienced in my time people actually dying because the GOP is such a bastard organization. There is a brutal truth to what I said. They are nothing but evil despicable people who even take joy on persecuting and abusing the downtrodden. They are the enemy and they always will be.
Too many people still don't get how absolutely evil they are. When you signal your intention to exterminate the progressive movement and you are clear about it in code and overtly, then the targets need to take that rhetoric seriously. As a former soldier I take such intention as an act of war on the country.

(10,602 posts)I have seen desperation on a scale that I have never seen before in this country. I have heard scum audiences in the debates say let people die who cannot afford health insurance. We have 50 million uninsured and will add 50 million more if SCOTUS overturns Obama care and the GOP "couponize" Medicare. I have heard the background a lot of coded chatter that gays should be more than jailed they should be executed. I have heard RW eliminationist rhetoric. And the Ryan bill is just a start on his Frankensteinian experiment . Any final legislation would be even worse.
I see homeless people on so many corners of my city that it is not even funny. And now Denver wants to make it illegal to lie down and sleep in public in the city limits.
And remember that my statement I said "a lot like" I did not say exactly like. What Ryan"s budget is a massive social engineering experiment. I saw the growing misery for 24 years at DOL directly relation to "trickle down" economics. When you actively cut off all the programs which includes vets care, many of those people will suffer and a number will die early because there is NO other replacement. The domestic budget has already been too lean for 10 years already.
I worked with the homeless for 4 years. I worked with welfare client for 6 years. And I worked directly with a rep who was a migrant worker specialist and the conditions they lived in were terrible. Dogs had bette accommodations.
In the long term GOP policies will make the US look like a third world country in so many ways.
