Prosecutors: Marine superimposed Obama’s face on donkey image

By Jeremy Herb - 04/05/12 05:07 PM ET

A Marine facing dismissal for making statements critical of President Obama superimposed the president’s face on the picture of a jackass and sold “Nobama” stickers, according to Marine prosecutors.

An administrative separation hearing began Thursday for Sgt. Gary Stein, who could receive an “other than honorable” discharge for saying he would not follow orders and calling Obama a “domestic enemy” on his “Armed Forces Tea Party” Facebook page.

“My heart is heavy this morning as I tie up my boots and start my hour drive to Camp Pendleton,” Stein wrote on his Facebook page early Thursday morning. “It hurts me to know that I could be punished for the one of the constitutional rights I have given the last 9 years of my life to protect.

>snip>

Stein’s case has garnered the support of Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-Calif.), a Marine reservist who has served in Iraq and Afghanistan. Hunter wrote to the Marines this week urging them to drop their discharge proceedings against Stein.

You are allowed to shut up...and say yes sir three bags full, except for clearly Ilegal orders.

Shit like this can create resentment and hurt unit cohesion.

No, it does make no sense unless you have served. Oh they used to give people brig time for shit like this.

that means he is the leader of all the armed forces. I think that it there are rules in the military about insulting the boss.

If you work at Home Depot, you can't mock your shift supervisor, never mind the clown that owns the company.

I've worked for a lot of Commanders in Chief that I didn't particularly care for, and I kept my damn mouth shut. That's why I get a check on the first of the month, every month, that allows me to live in comfort--because I wasn't stupid. I understood my duty. This guy didn't understand his.

What a fucking nitwit--talk about shit-stirring! Prejudicial to good order and discipline! He needs to shut the foxtrot up, and do it now.

This whiner should have spent less time running his weaselly little mouth on Facebook, and more time familiarizing himself with the terms of his enlistment contract. He's a putz.
