(58,426 posts)peace within love beyond justifiable anger toward the narrow minded culprits and the righteous fight against those opposing us there will be casualties along the way, but this will inevitably lead to the misogynists surrender and the American People will be all the better for it.

thank you for not making me live in the world my parents did and suffer for it as they both did
thanks for shaping a world where we can just be us and enjoy that
thanks for all the other causes you have given your strength to through the years

i always figured it was best and i would really screw up a girl. i have two nieces from different brothers. their mothers werent around. i did most of the mothering. i look at them now, at 21 and 25. good, strong, informed, vocal feminists they are. and a decade prior, they merely rolled their eyes.
imagine my surprise.
life ... directs. and they had the foundation and awareness to pick up on it.
thanks ct...

(10,287 posts)my wife is a nurse midwife and 2 or 3 years ago she was looking for a gig and one of the places she was investigating was in Oregon or Washington
so on second thought you may be right
we went to the us virgin islands instead for a year instead of the Washington job
they had a greater need unfortunately funding in a territory is not done rationally and the programs were unfunded
back in beautiful humid swampy florida now

if it comes from the heart

and there are costs. always costs.
and then you bring it up. at this time in my life, i have learned, that is the reality of so much of this. and that is ok. i am good with that.

(24,979 posts)to each according to her need!
- Equal rights, duties, privileges, liberties and opportunities for all. Under the law and in all the institutions.
- Freedom for all from proscribed gender roles and conditioning.
- Equal respect and rewards for traditionally "feminine" labor and roles in childcare, schooling, household and the reproductive sphere.
It's such a simple set of ideas, and yet so drastically misrepresented -- in part by some of its adherents who reduce it to the idea of success for some women within a neoliberal order, but mostly of course by all the world's reactionary yahoos.

(110,159 posts)entertainment at all. not even a little. for a lifetime. it is a hoot. love music/dancing/singing. love specific music. my boys gather my playlist cause they know the names and titles. i am clueless.
eurethmics, i barely recall the name.
i will be listening to a song, oh i love this, i will exclaim. look at the artist (my car shows artist and title), and say, man, i do not even recognize the name of the band, but love the song. cream. lol. isnt that like clapton? so it is a hoot for the boys.
the most popular and well known, they will cover the title as i am singing away and ask who sings it. uh... uh uh.
i often will get beetles, i can hear springston in song and one other i forget. that is about it.
