It seems some locals have been bored this summer in the small suburban town.
The Uxbridge Police Department has a message for people that want to spend their time standing on an overpass, dropping their pants and defecating on passing trains: clean up your act, or face charges for the fecal funny business.
That bizarre message was part of a Facebook post the department put up on July 8, after they received reports from P & W Railroad workers one day prior that four people were allegedly lingering on the railroad bridge above the oncoming train cars before unloading human excrement onto the passing vehicles.
The most recent complaint from P&W Railroad is that people are defecating [sic] off of bridges onto the trains as they pass by, police said in a statement. Yes, you read that right. We have no idea what would possess someone to drop their pants and poop on a passing train, but guess what, it is happening.

(106,886 posts)It takes a little "accommodating", but I've learned the tricks and have the time. I'm going to do the LA - Seattle run sometime.

(17,055 posts)to take my daughter to Wilton Cake Decorating School in Darien, IL I think it was. It was a slow slog. Then the car rental. I had wished I'd had just drove it. I should have brought some books with me.
There is one train trip I'd love to make and that's this one..

(106,886 posts)Yeah, training can be a slow slog. I always carry reading material, snacks, stuff to pass the time. Plus, cross country I splurge one night on a diner car meal. You get to meet other riders over a meal. And I chat up the train attendants on a long trip. The west coast trains are two tiered, so there's an observation car. All windows. If you get a nod and a wink from an attendant it's OK to stretch out on a bench with a blanket and pillow after the usual daytime crowd has gone to their rooms or the seats. Sleep under the stars.

(65,483 posts)It means that people who are not on the train are getting up above the train (on an overpass) and then pooping onto the train as it passes.

(12,778 posts)I mean, how bad would it be to just pass the time, enjoying the view, perhaps inhaling a nice breath of morning air, when all of a sudden "splat"?

(12,132 posts)our bus drove past a lot of dairy farms and cow pastures - my friend Mark loved to stick his head out the window and inhale deeply and holler "I LOOOOVE the smell of cow pasture in the morning!"
until we told him that odor was really just microscopic particles of the thing you smelled.*
*we didn't know if that was true. We were talking out our asses. We were headed to christian school. They didn't teach us shit.

(62,444 posts)People dropping anything from an overpass onto an oncoming train is a serious safety hazard. This could injure, sicken, or impair the operators.

(11,364 posts)Are there many people who can accurately time their defecation?
... or are the trains stopped under the overpass?
... or are these freight trains that take more than a few minutes to go through the underpass?
... so many questions here ...

(7,237 posts)...I am just trying to figure out the logistics. How would you even do that? are they sure people aren't pre-pooping, bringing it in a bad, and then tossing it down?
I mean... what... you hang your ass over the side of a bridge and just... poop? Who could even poop like that?
