When an 11 year old shoots his grandpa after his grandpa shoots his dad,

I tend to side with the 11 year old. I hope he gets therapy, not jail. He's probably just a kid who went through a horrible trauma and responded accordingly.

KITTRELL — Two men were shot Monday and an 11-year-old is facing juvenile charges for the fatal death of his 84-year-old grandfather.

A Monday evening altercation involved 49-year-old Lloyd P. Woodlief, father of the 11-year-old, and 84-year-old Lloyd Woodlief. The elder Woodlief shot his son, and then was shot to death by the juvenile, according to the Vance County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident happened at 430 Cricket Creek Lane in Kittrell. The office of Vance County Sheriff Peter White confirmed the grandfather was shot with a 12-guage shotgun in a press release.

The 11-year-old was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon.
“A juvenile petition has been taken out against the 11-year-old,” White said Tuesday. “He is in the custody of juvenile services.”
