We can't afford her to lose that job. She has worked there for 13 years or so.

I have had friends that did. When they got close to retirement their schedules changed (radically) and it seemed they were being pushed out the door before they had the chance to collect on their retirement package whatever that may be.
Those were friends that worked the "Pro Desk" and developed relationships with contractors.
Since they're gone, I quit using HD unless I can't get what I need from those other guys.

They don't even give their workers an employee discount.
Cheap bastids. But corporate can donate to the RNC though.
I'll only shop there if I can't find what I need somewhere else.
