Todd Akin was attacked "for being a Christian?"

No stupid, he was attacked for being a blithering idiot.

Mike Huckabee Says Todd Akin Was Attacked For Being A Christian

Submitted by Brian Tashman on Monday, 7/7/2014 10:35 am

WorldNetDaily runs a glowing profile today of failed Senate candidate Todd Akin’s new book — which WND just so happens to be publishing — including plaudits from Mike Huckabee, Oliver North and WND editor Joseph Farah. According to Huckabee, Akin was the victim of a conspiracy by Democrats, the media and “establishment Republicans” to silence good, decent, conservative Christians and take away their freedoms. Huckabee, who campaigned aggressively for Akin, tells WND that criticism of Akin was “destructive to the country we care so deeply about.” Although Akin attempted to apologize for his infamous “legitimate rape” remark during his campaign, he now says that nothing he said was wrong and insists he was attacked for simply trying to promote biblical values in politics.

... when he opened his mouth and utter ignorant bullshit came out.
A real attack would be throwing him to the lions... which I wouldn't be opposed to.

If you look back over the last 6-8 years or so, this teeny, minor point has caused more hatred and misery than probably any other.

Instead of being honest and helpful citizens, they are bigoted, hateful and mean..., just plain evil.

Did I miss something in Sunday School class? What comes out of their mouths would never enter my brain. Either religion has done a complete turn-around or my memory is playing tricks on me. The way they act isn't how I was raised and/or taught to act.

If this was true then we could do away with birth control and just shut down. I am amazed he thought this but to say this out loud was even worse.

When will anyone ever step up for them as they simply can't get by being so oppressed by the atheists who run the nation.

Akin is a sick twisted old man, he not a Christian, he condoned rape
of women, and is against women's sexually freedom. He was
attacked because he said something stupid!!

Do they agree that there is such a thing as a "legitimate rape" and an "illegitimate rape."

The stupid runneth over.

women often make false accusations about rape and also for his idiocy in claiming that pregnancy cannot result from a "real" rape.

But, it was really an attack on his religion?

I miss all the subtleties. I feel so silly.
