I think I read somewhere else that South Dakota has the highest percentage... around 8-10%...
anyone else think that with numbers that high it's amazing the number of justifiable homicides is only low double digits...

(1,076 posts)of the article needs to do some fact checking.Zimmerman is not a convicted felon, if he were he would not be able to legally hold a CCW or have a handgun for that matter. I didn't realize that Florida had that many permit holders...WOW!

Florida's overall crime rate is 4,100 per 100,000 residents over 21 yoa.

(595 posts)until I looked up my home state of NY and saw we have around 1 million... granted you need a permit just to own so I guess it's not a fair comparison...
