(793 posts)...and with nothing having happened I was fearing it would be a whitewash. Tempe is crushed with teabaggers, so that action was taken against the arresting officer AND the ASU PD will get DOJ review is a score. Whatever comes with racial profilling, etc, I hope some sunlight is shed on the nepotism there with the officer and his family.
Ah nepotism, the REAL affirmative action!
Now if only someone would give a damn that the Albuquerque PD seems to be shooting the unarmed at will...

(8,155 posts)The ASU PD PR department has been very good masking their contempt. But the fact that they are asking the FBI to investigate, even if it is just "precautionary," means they know the shit has hit the fan and they will probably be more than willing to "work" with the victim to reduce or drop the charges.
