...Open to all other carriers. AAL doesn't want the burden of more of their aircraft on the ground.

or bigger size hail falling at one point. Damn, that could do one hell of allot of damage to a plane.

At least most of the storms are moving east, ahead of them. My friend in Fort Worth said the forecasts were speaking of baseball-size hail. She was more fearful of that than tornadoes - which she said had passed them by at quite a safe distance. But she just had to have her whole roof replaced from the last bad hail storm.

Hopefully the storms will have moved out of range by the time ACIDIC gets there.

And there had been a fire in the control tower at O'Hare. Our plane sat on the ground for 6 hours as traffic was hosed not only in the US, but in much of North America. This won't be quite as bad, but pretty close.
