Is this the latest right wing craziness?

One of my right wing friends told me this morning that " yesterday Congress did something and now we have opened up all of our borders to everyone everywhere and "it's" fixed so that it can never be changed."

She heard it on the radio.

I just told I didn't believe that. That it would be all over the news everywhere if that were to happen and I haven't seen a word about it in any of the papers I read.

Anyone else heard about this one?

with absolutely no facts.

And everyone gets in a huge tizzy over it and then it just kind of blows over until the next one hits.

She has no idea how her own govt works or how laws are enacted. It's usually a pointless exercise in futility, but send her a link to Schoolhouse Rock's I'm Just a Bill.

Be forewarned, however; when someone actually believes the propaganda and conspiracy theories broadcast by rightwing radio personalities are actual events, they are quite defensive in their acquired ignorance.

so I try to keep things calm if I can.

Like the guy that went on and on about how "the left" turned all the mentally ill people out onto the streets and now they are all homeless people.

This woman that told me this this morning is really nice. And her kids are home schooled. Surprise, surprise. I like her a lot but she will believe anything. And then get all upset over it.

The sun doesn't come up tomorrow? It's all Obama's fault.

Sometimes I just have to leave.

Get the congnitive dissonance churning inside her. If she's going to flummox those around her with her ignorance, you should at least give her a mild ulcer in return.
