The Supreme Court on Monday ruled by a 5-to-4 vote that officials may strip-search people arrested for any offense, however minor, before admitting them to jails even if the officials have no reason to suspect the presence of contraband.

And strip searching for a traffic violation or shop lifting would not be an issue either.
Why not just run the hapless Jaywalker through airport security like they do law abiding citizens.

My question is, if the Constitution is the supreme Law of the Land, then how can Congress keep passing laws that nullify parts of it?
I know part of the answer are the Bush appointees to the Supreme Court, but still…
Obama used to teach Constitutional Law, but one would be hard pressed to prove it by his actions as President.

that five conservatives can run rampant over basic ideals of freedom, with no way to put them in check.

The Prison–industrial complex wins another one in the spiraling downward free-fall. To a police state.

Ironic that those five are titled "Justices".

the supreme court should have their rulings and debates televised if they want lifetime appointments and power once reserved to fucking kings.The recording will be shot via closed circuit,and shown in it's entirety. To keep corruption under control,film them when they are not aware if they are being filmed or not.
