level those lots. Maybe they could make them into community gardens in the short term, or something.

I like those old school bungalows. They were very efficient for their day, and they had a nice aesthetic. Shame to see a neighborhood with nice features go down the crapper like that.

the Motor City just isn't one of 'em.

I may have stopped over, years--more like eons-- ago, and spent a few hours in the airport, but I don't count that as visiting a city. I have to get out in the streets, and look around, and have meals, and meet people, to make the connection.

I didn't see that Gran Torino film...mainly because I had a relative who owned one, and let me tell you, you don't have to play basketball to hate the back seat on one of those things. They'll cut you off at the knees!!! I hated that car, and I didn't like bumming a ride or going somewhere in a group unless I was riding shotgun or driving--I have bad memories of that car! So...nothing to do with Clint, just a dislike of a mode of transport!

It's amazing how strong plant life is and how it flourishes when allowed to. I recently discovered a thick, strong daylily stalk growing right between two very tight bricks on our walkway. Nature, man
