Jose Hernandez (D), who is looking to unseat Rep. Jeff Denham (R-CA), has released a video defending his claim that he is in fact an astronaut. A Sacramento law firm asked a judge to block describing himself as such because he left NASA.

Needless to say, the judge declined the sleazy despicable Republican law firms' request.

He was my congresscritter for one miserable term, replacing George Radanovich who was as effective as a turnip would have been. And the only thing I can say for Denham is that he was a big improvement over the even more repulsive Richard Pombo who got voted out of his own district and carpetbagged into ours and lost to Denham in the republican primary.

Denham has been redistricted out of our hair into a district that has a fair amount of Democratic voters so there's a chance Hernandez will be able to send his ass down the road in November.

And I don't know WTF to expect in our new district which goes all the way north to Tahoe and Truckee and includes the right wing suburbs of Sacramento in Placer County. But at least we're rid of Denham.
