Billo the hypocrite...
O'Reilly's accusations against the librul media bring to mind the saying about pots meeting kettles given that he's accusing them of the type of journalistic irresponsibility and possible malfeasance that he made into an art form in his crusade against abortion provider Dr. George Tiller. It's ironic that O'Reilly warns about how national television coverage could, potentially, result in violence when, in the case of Dr. Tiller, the violence took the form of the murder of Dr. Tiller. But O'Reilly did win a "Courage Award" for his efforts so it's all good.
Over the course of several years, while protests outside the abortion clinic of Dr. George Tiller reached a fevered pitch, Bill O'Reilly referred to Tiller as a "Baby Killer" on at least 24 occasions. He also described Tiller with words like "Nazi, killer, murder, murderer, barbarian," and warned of a "judgment day." O'Reilly even "whipped up" his listeners to stage a mass protest outside Tiller's clinic.
Bill O'Reilly, whose unfounded accusations against Tiller, on "national television," were brought by a discredited anti-abortion Kansas Attorney General whose law license has been suspended due to his conduct during the Tiller case, contributed to a climate of hate in which an abortion doctor was murdered. For O'Reilly to say that the coverage of the Trayvon Martin case is incendiary is ludicrous and a tad hypocritical. And if media companies should be "held accountable for any violence," then Fox News should have been held responsible for the murder of Dr. Tiller. Ya think?
