In the Sanford Murder, We're no Longer Getting Much Reliable Information

There are ongoing investigations, this time run by professionals from the State of Florida and the Federal Government. Those investigators are not releasing their information on what the investigation is revealing. So, we're all looking at what is really old news and analysis of that news. We don't have all the information yet from the investigations.

And we may not have it until charges are filed and the full information is revealed in court. We have that video at the police station, and that seems to clearly contradict a lot of things. I imagine we'll find out more and more over time.

For now, though, the discussions are based on old information that is being rehashed and reanalyzed over and over again, along with accounts that are pure fantasy.

From today on, I'm going to focus on what is new and based on actual investigation, so I'm going to walk away from the discussions until that information is available. I expect it to result in an arrest and a trial. That I will look forward to.

Zimmerman will be nowhere to be found. That's my concerning thought.

His whereabouts are known to the authorities, and will remain known to them. You may not know where he is, but then you don't really have any reason to know. When it is time to arrest him, based on the investigation, he will be arrested. Until then, there are most certainly people keeping an eye on him.

If he does flee, he'll be arrested and returned. He doesn't have the resources needed to actually disappear. That's not easy to do, really.

But given that he has so many supporters, I didn't know if some wealthy dude in Tampa or Miami with a yacht wouldn't take him on an extended fishing trip and hide out in the Caymans or Costa Rica or somewhere...

...is that there is a lack of good, substantiated evidence in this case and it will "default" to Zimmerman...

And Zimmerman will be neither exonerated nor convicted. And the suspicion and anger will never subside.

There was a short window where some was released, but that is no longer happening.

Most of what people thought they knew early on was innuendo and assumption by the media and others attempting to fill the information gap and project their view of things.

The reality is that we have very little validated information and that Zimmerman is still free.

If they were scuffling when the shot was fired, there would surely be powder burns either on Martin's clothing, or on his skin.

Those, along with the angle of entry would say a LOT about how the actual shooting went down.

I don't watch talking heads anymore but just learned of this situation today, based on the Sanford site, police reports, etc.. I hope information drops for awhile so that those who are investigating can do so unimpaired by media hype. Based on what I've seen today, Zimmerman seems like an unstable individual who should not have been granted a concealed carry license.

I should really get away from this now, because it's depressing as hell, but I did want to communicate with others about the situation to make sure that I'm still sane--can this have actually happened?
