they don't need a Constitutional reason. They rule purely from a political agenda. The would come up with some constitutional double speak, but in the end they will do what their black hearts dictate.

ACA is something really new and different (at the federal level), and most Americans don't want it, so it's easy for them to blow it up. Medicare is old stuff and is loved by the vast majority of Americans - I don't think they'd go that far (but it wouldn't be totally shocking if they did).
