Who is watching Chris Hayes now? Jim Himes (D-CT) on re: VA mess.

He's doing the best imitation of a Dem talking out of both sides of his mouth. Is he up for re-election or something? Hayes was trying to nail him down on the problem with VA service delivery and pointing out that Shinseki is the shiny thing, not the problem. I hate when pols just yammer to be yammering.

the services have trained medical staff out there. they just have to blow the whistle.

if ed shutlz can organize healthcare clinics, the national guard can plop down at he closest hospital, and people can just get in to a modern system, and fucking go.

pretend it is a train wreck, or a natural disaster.

2. The Vote Vets guy afterward really laid the problems out and was spot on

about how many decades this has been a problem. He also noted that the VA was underfunded to the tune of $2B during the Bush administration.
